Match history - how it started

Having brilliantly managed 2 team matches against the CCLA and the IECC, Igor ("tovmauzer") decided to leave Gameknot. However, before his departure he announced on the GK forums that the Clube de Xadrez Virtual (CXV) was proposing a team match against GK, but that a team captain would need to be found as he could no longer do it. Since no volunteers came forward, and as I felt it would be a shame for the GK community, and GK in general to waste such an opportunity I decided to put myself forward as captain.

I'm sure we will witness some good games of chess!
