"I declare it's marked out just like a large
chess-board!" Alice said at last.
"...It's a great huge game of chess that's
being played - all over the world - if this is the world at all, you know. ...
How I wish I was one of them! I wouldn't mind being a Pawn, if only I might join - though
of course I should like to be a Queen, best."
America's Foundation for Chess (AF4C) is commited to bringing chess into every U.S. classroom.
It hopes to elevate the profile of chess in America. Currently, it provides chess
instruction materials and training to teachers, who have little or no chess background.
In addition, AF4C is cultivating chess role models and a venue for chess excellence
in America.
By my opinion, that must be an example to every other goverment!
